Our Mission

The Tampa Bay Abortion Fund removes financial and logistical barriers to abortion access. It specifically assists pregnant people with low incomes seeking abortion at abortion providers in several counties surrounding Tampa Bay.

Our History

In 2017, a group of three strangers connected and realized that the state of abortion access was not much better, even after decades of marching, signing petitions, and calling our representatives in office. We knew it was time to take a more direct approach to abortion access. In 2018, TBAF became a nonprofit and to date, we’ve helped hundreds of pregnant people access abortion care in Florida. We have close relationships with local clinics, other abortion funds, and have a network of volunteers who provide rides, childcare, case management, judicial bypass, condoms, emergency contraception, and much more to our community. Our Present

TBAF currently assists callers with appointments at seven local Tampa Bay clinics. When funding allows, we support additional clinics (see tbafund.com for the most up-to-date information). We are volunteer-run and are able to fund our callers because of donations and grants.
